Mail.ru to start selling smart speaker Capsule online on Wed
MOSCOW, Apr 22 (PRIME) -- Russian tech giant Mail.ru Group will start selling its smart speaker Capsule with embedded voice assistant Marusia for 7,990 rubles on Wednesday via online stores, the company said in a statement.
“Sales of a limited batch of Capsule will start online. One can buy Capsule in online stores of M.Video, Svyaznoy, Rostelecom, MegaFon, the largest e-sellers Ozon and AliExpress,” the statement read.
The device will cost 7,990 rubles, and for those who had pre-ordered it till Tuesday, the price will be 6,990 rubles.
Mail.ru Group did not disclose the number of pre-ordered devices or the size of the first batch.
The company’s official Artyom Popov told PRIME that full-fledged sales, including in brick and mortar stores, will start after the epidemiological situation becomes normal.
Capsule makes online calls to the friends list on social network VKontakte, which belongs to Mail.ru Group, and listen to the music from the playlists. The device can be used for story telling with augmented reality.
